9am- more than 8 brass bands compete for a trophy and cash prizes outside the Old Town Hall on Commercial Street East.
10.15am- Massed march of hte bands marching together to combine with teh Christmas parade.
1pm- An afternoon music contest held in the Sir Roberty Helpmann Theatre. $5 entry fee. Public welcome.
